He could make it his own very comfortably. I'd like to see it.

I think it's exceptionally handsome and debonair.

And I think debonair is an exceptionally handsome adjective. You are quite the wordsmith. :-)

Oh man. Tighe / Tadhg AND Desmond threads today. Add in Peter, Cormac and Malachy and you've got my top five names for a boy. I'm in heaven. :-)Desmond works beautifully on either a boy or a grown man. It's so distinguished, yet friendly at the same time. Nn Des / Desi is sooooo cute. I know a woman who just named her ds Desmond Michael.

I love Desmond! I once knew a little boy named Desmond. It suited him very well! I'm sure he's probably around 16 or 17 by now.

I like Desmond. My mother has a cousin Desmond who never had a nn and my husband has an uncle Desmond, Des. It's handsome and has a lot of history attached.

I think it's a great name. It's a very intelligent name, and I used to think those sorts of names needed something "smaller" for a young child. But lately I've been loving more adult full names or nicknames on little boys. That in itself is adorable.
