Selah
Hi, I'm new here.
I am 14 weeks pregnant. My husband and I have fallen in love with the name Selah. We love the Biblical heritage and the meaning (which we've researched and seems to be more than just "a musical pause", but more like, "To pause and refelct, measure what has been said."
Anyway we would pronounce it "Say - La" So that is my only concern... having to pronounce it or spell it contstantly for people.
We have a 3 year old daughter named Noelle Simone.
We are not sure of a middle name just yet... possibly
Selah Faith
Selah Corinne
Selah Vivienne
Selah Juliet
Middle name suggestions are welcome. Our last name is Daigle.

Selah has been on my mind a lot over the past month or so. I automatically tend to pronounce it similar to how you do, but on this site the correct pronunciation is listed as SEE-lah so you may run into pronunciation issues there.
It's a great name, though, and the combos Selah Vivienne and Selah Juliet are awesome!

love it!
I've always said it "say la," but I met one once that pronounced it like Seela. There's the actress Sela (Seela) Ward, too, which may tip the average pronunciation that way as well. However, it's a rare enough name that I don't think it will be a huge problem. It wouldn't be like, say, naming a child Emily and pronouncing it /eh-Miley/... and spelling it more phonetically, like Sayla or Saila is just, well, lame.
I love Vivienne and Juliet as mns! Some more suggestions:
Selah Isabel(le)
Selah Rosalie
Selah Lisanne

Selah is a pretty name, but I automatically think "SEE-la" when I see it. It's not a very common name, so you may have to explain the pronunciation regardless of how you decide to pronounce it, but it seems like people would be more likely to pronounce it "SEE-la" than "SAY-la."
Out of your combos, I like Selah Corinne and Selah Vivienne the best. Corinne and Vivienne are both gorgeous names. Selah Faith and Selah Juliet also flow nicely, but I prefer Corinne and Vivienne.
Noelle Simone is a very pretty name btw!

I like Selah. I think you'll have to tell people how to prono0unce it anyway because it's so uncommon.
I sort of like Selah Faith and Selah Corinne, but I think it needs something earthier...

I think that's very pretty, mostly the meaning. It goes well with Noelle, too. It's not a huge deal to have to spell or pronounce it all the time since it's a real name. I'd only be annoyed to have to do that when you have a common name that's just spelled wrong!
Selah Juliet is gorgeous, and my favorite of those.
ETA: Apparently Selah is pronounced SEE-, not SAY-. I wouldn't recommend purposely pronouncing a name incorrectly.

Yeah, I was gonna say, the actress, Sela Ward, pronounces it See-la, so that's how I would pronounce it.
I think that Noelle and Selah would sound very cute as siblings. You would likely have to correct people on the pronounciation, but it's not difficult to say at all once you know. I often have to spell my name for people because there are a few different ways to do it, and it's not really a big deal.
My favourite of the ones you have there is Selah Juliet. Maybe:
Selah Bethany
Selah Cherise
Selah Emmaline
Selah Grace
Selah Joy
Selah Marion
Selah Rhiannon
Selah Yvette

That sounds lovely! I especially like Selah Corrine. You may have to correct spelling or pronunciation, but I think most likely people will ask how to spell her name because it isn't common.
If you love it you should use it!
