I'm not trying to sound mean here, but you are obviously new here. Emily and Emma have been in the top ten for several years. I've only met a couple of Emilies, one in middle school, and one who's in her early 30's. It's a nice name, so if you really like it, go ahead and use it. Maybe Sigrid Emily if you really like the names.

New here?Nope.I'm more than familiar with the popularity of Emily but I've known several, none of them kids. I also live in a area that really doesn't reflect the larger naming trends, so I have a lot of leeway there. This area prefers "cowboy" sounding names.I'm on the fence with it, because I have two different visions of the name.
