Re: Lucia
in reply to a message by t
I think it's a very pretty name! Lucy is super cute, but Lucia has this darker sophisticated feel to it. It works out great to use Lucy as a nn for it. And Lucia Paige is a nice combo. Go for it!ETA: The only problem I can see with it is it being mispronounced since there are like three pronunciations for it (I'd say LOO-sha first). But I think loo-SEE-a would probably be the most commonly said one, so not really a big deal.

thanks Llewella... but what do you mean by darker? lol i admit being a little paranoid that some might see it being close to "lucifer" in spelling... so you saying darker did frighten me a bit. I have never seen that connection before, but I know some do.

Not bad darker, darker just color-wise. Lucia is a dark color (maybe navy blue) and Lucy is kind of yellow to me.

Funny. Lucy is also yellow to me, but Lucia is more orange, firey, rather than blue. Probably because the L is yellow.

Thanks for explaining what you meant by dark. So interesting that you associate colors with names :) I agree Lucy is yellow! :)
