Cairbre / Carbrey is wonderful. My grandfather was born in a small town called Rosscarbery. I've always thought of it as a GP mn. But now perhaps there's more validity to it since it's built on a traditional fn. There are small islands nearby called "Carbery's Hundred Isles." I never thought about Carbery (Carbrey) being a fn before. I always assumed it was a surname.
