WDYTO Jemima?
So, what's your general opinion on Jemima? Is it too old, odd, or just plain bad, or do you really like it? I'm torn; please help!

I love Jemima. I think it's a lovely name.
Oh, how I wish Jemima were usable in the US! I adore it. It's so fresh and bouncy, while still retaining a charming old-fashioned quality.
I really like it. It's a family name, and I think it's my favourite family name right now.
I hate to admit it: but pancakes.
I think it's a perfectly wonderful name, maybe a great mn, but I will forecer and always think of Aunt Jemima pancakes and syrup.

I used to not be able to think of anything but the syrup, and I also know it has sort of a bad image in the US. But I just love the sound of it, and I have been enjoying it recently. It's so rich. I do like it, and too bad it really can't be used here because I'd love to see it around!
Goodness me! What image? What syrup??
I do feel very foreign sometimes ...

It's a very common brand of maple syrup and pancake mix here. And so it's tied to the old image of the woman on the logo:

The logo isn't so stereotypical/racist anymore, but that's still what people think of.
Mmm, now I want pancakes! :)

I happen to LOVE this name, but DH doesn't share my enthusiasm for it unfortunately! I don't think it sounds too old, odd or anything bad.
There was a toy 'character' on play school named Jemima... thats all i can think of
I like it a lot. it doesn't seem odd to me, just stylish.
#1 - Jemima gives me a bad image in my head. Very crazy, old ladyish.
#2 - I dislike the sound. It's very awkward. The "mime" sound does nothing for me.

It's a family name and I want to like it, I'm just not there yet. I don't dislike it.
I adore Jemima! I wish it was usable here in America but it's too tied to the syrup brand :/
If I could use it, I would, it's whimsical, old fashioned yet not overly so and sweet!

I'm not a fan. I find it frumpy and childish.
The maple syrup my mom buys is called Aunt Jemima...all I can think of is pancakes.
Oh, I love Jemima! It's sprightly and stately at the same time.
