Spencer
I never thought this day would come, but here it is. I have always hated Spencer, but now I love it! I love how it looks, how it sounds, the associations I have with it...
What do you think of Spencer? And do you think it fits in with Oliver, Felix, Maximilian and Alice?
And while I'm on it, WDYTO Ellis (for a boy)?

I like Spencer. I think it fits in perfectly with Oliver, Felix, Maximilian and Alice.
I don't really like Ellis all that much though.

I don't mind the name, though I don't think it's anything special. I also don't think it fits in with the other names mentioned, which are all absolutely gorgeous and faves of mine also! Ellis is ok, though again, nothing super special.
Doesn't fit for me
It's not the worst surname by a long shot but has a cold, shallow and clinical feel while also having an extremely nerdy vibe too. I don't know how to explain it but it lacks the strength, style and gravitas of your other choices.
Ellis I do like but would hate the confusion for Alice in some accents.

I love Spencer. It's on my list for another son.
It fits well with the other names too.

I conpletely understand. I too am fond of Spencer against my better (and previous) judgement. I think it is wonderful, and love what it reminds me of. As for the other names, I love them all, and think Spwncer sounds good wih them. I'm not crash about Ellis in general, but that is because I have a stron surname association with it and it just seems misplaced. But great names!
I'm in the same boat- I always disliked Spencer until a few weeks ago. Now I love it! It probably helps that the only Spencer I've ever met was a fantastic person. I think Spencer has a quirky charm. It definitely fits in with the other names you've suggested.
Ellis isn't really my taste.

Spencer's ok and fits in w/ the othrs. Rather neutral on it personally.
As for Ellis, I think it should be left as a surname where it belongs.

I think Spencer is one of a few names that walks the fine line between mass trendiness and classic, aristocratic dignity, depending on where you go with it. With the right combos (I know an Edmund Spencer Lawrence / Theodore "Spencer"; I forget exactly, but it's swoon-worthy in combination with his other names) and siblings, Spencer can be a wonderful name.
A Spencer with siblings Oliver, Felix, Maximilian and / or Alice would be fantastic...I don't think it would be out of place.
Ellis isn't as nice as Spencer, IMO, but a good enough name nonetheless. I used to like it more awhile back, but now I'm not as big of a fan.

I love both Spencer & Ellis (on a boy only) and I think they would make a lovely sibset!
As for Spencer fitting in with Oliver, Felix, Maximilian & Alice: I think they go together, they aren't really a "match made in heaven" though. Like they do not make a bad sibset but not a perfect one either.
Hope that helps.
