I met the sweetest two year old Alani once. She was mixed Caucasian and African-American adn named after her father Alan.

What an inspired choice of a name for such a gorgeous little girl. It has stuck with me to this day.

Upon conducting a cursory search for Hawaiian names in this database, I concluded that I'm fond of Apikalia, Elikapeka, Iolana, Kakalina, Kekepania, Kilikina, and Wikolia for girls and Ekewaka, Iakopa, Kaleo, Kimo, and Peni for boys.
