It's got a nice sound, but it's very trendy atm in Wales, and it's a bit... fluffy, somehow. I know two baby Serens personally, and they're Seren Haf and Seren Louise.

I really want to like it. I love Welsh names, I like the meaning, and I like Sarah and similar sounding names. Seren does sound similar. But I just don't like it. I don't hate it, but there's just something unappealing about the sound. :(

I love most Welsh names, but I can't really warm up to this one, even though I love the meaning as well. It reminds me of Saran Wrap or serum. i don't know. Maybe it's too close to Sarah too. I want to like it, but for some reason it's just not happening for me-- I appreciate it, though. It's a good name for someone else! Does that make any sense?

I think the sound is lovely but I'm not sure how many people would associate it with the nerve gas. I still think it is more than usable though.

I love Seren. It's Serena's less snooty sister.
