Maybe I'm weird, but I don't find it especially dated. I hear it on baby girls all the time. And I actually don't dislike it.

My name!I've always liked it. I don't think it's dated, often hear it on kids too.

I feel it's dated but I've never liked it anyway. I find it tacky. Sorry.
People on here seem to prefer it over Jennifer which I can't understand. At least Jennifer has better celeb namesakes then Jessica.

"At least Jennifer has better celeb namesakes then Jessica."What about Jessica Tandy? She wasn't raunchy and played a damn good character in Fried Green Tomatoes.

I knew a Jessica Miranda once, but I didn't like the combo. It's a good name, and not too dated where I live though they're mostly young adults rather than oldies or kids.Jessica Margaret
Jessica Rose

It's only dated in some places. In the UK it is still the height of popularity.Jessica was my birth name. I disliked it immensely, it sounded prissy and an insult to my ears. It really isn't the worst name though, it has an okay meaning and is spelt fine, etc.

It's very dated and terribly unattractive. The sick sound, is a huge turn off for me. I much prefer Jessamine.

It's a name that definitely is better than the names like Neveah, Madison, and those infamous unisex bafflers like Taylor. But I am kind of indifferent with many names including Jessica but an encounter may change that since I used to have such an opinion of Gabriella.

I like it. I used to think it was dated, but both my cousin and a character I liked from a book are named Jessica, which is what got me to start liking it. There are a lot in my age group- I know at least 3 between the ages of 16 and 18. I still like it though. It's a lot prettier than similarly 'dated' names like Jennifer (which I don't like at all).Jessica Ivy

Yeah it's dated but also a classic that was used by Shakespeare. I dislike the -ica part, I dislike Monica and Erica for the same reason. But I like Nika because it sounds more like NEE-ka and noch like ICK-a.I love Jessie, though. And I like Jessamine and Jessamy.

It feels super dated to me, which is a bit odd since it was very common from the mid-70s to 2000ish, and has been in the top 100 since 1970. But all the Jessicas I've known are my age, and there are a ton of them. I really am not a fan of it. It seems ditzy and flippant, despite me having known a few who weren't that way at all. And I know it was invented by Shakespeare, but it still give me a trendy/modern/made-up feeling.

Most of the Jessicas I've met are my age, early 30s. I know one who's three. It's not as dated as Jennfer or Heather. It was my French name in high school, since our teacher kept calling Jessica and me by each other's name.

I was just about to post something to this affect. I was ALWAYS called Jennifer until the teachers figured it out halfway through the semester.

Well, it's my name and I'm 18. I don't believe it's dated. When I was born it was somewhat common, but I honestly don't know of a load of Jessica's in my town. It's not common nowadays for babies which is fine. I think it's a perfectly good name.. I kind of enjoy it for myself.Combos:
