Casper
Casper is a family name (6 of my known ancestors have it). It's been growing on me lately, but I find I prefer the spelling Kaspar. I tend to like the Germanic Ks instead of Cs. I also really love Jasper, especially after having met one. So, three questions:What do you think of Casper?Which spelling do you prefer?Do you prefer Casper or Jasper?

I think Casper is a great name and this is my fave spelling. I do however prefer the name Jasper.

I like Casper a lot, though I prefer the spelling Caspar. Something about "per" as opposed to "par" is slightly off-putting for me. I definitely prefer Caspar to Jasper, which I've never warmed to (aside from as a GP name for a girl).

Casper is one of my favourite names! I looove it! In Germany we often use Casper or Caspar, because Kasper is a figure like a clown (I dont know the english word for that).I like alle the spellings, but Casper is my favourite.

I used to absolutely adore Jasper. I still think it's cool, but I'm not as in love with it as I once was. That said, I prefer Jasper to Casper, but Kaspar is plain awesome. Kaspar gets my vote. :)

I love Casper and would totally use it if it went with the LN. Too bad everyone associates it with the friendly ghost! I also love Jasper and did consider it for my #2 child, but I think it's sky-rocketing in popularity (and I loved it long before Twilight).

Despite the "Friendly Ghost" association, I think it's overall okay. Not something I'd use, but not something I find hideous.I prefer the Casper spelling.I like Jasper a little more.

I live in a town called Casper, so that's all I can think of. I think I prefer Kaspar. I like Jasper better, but I'd go for Kaspar since it would be honoring both the fact that Casper is a family name, and Jasper because it's a related name.

I love Casper!!! It is one of my longtime faves :) I prefer C spelling. I looks friendlier imo
The K spelling looks harsh imoDefinately Casper! I think it's time for something fresh... Jasper seems to get to popular

Both are just haunting me. I prefer Casper over Jasper. Jaspers will kill dalmations and suck your blood. Caspers will just spook you.

-I think it's unusable, due to its association with a friendly ghost. It might not be a problem in other countries, though.Which spelling do you prefer?

-Jasper isn't my favorite name, but I definitely prefer it to Casper. Less cartoon-y.

Jasper. No friendly ghost association. Disney movie afficionados, however, will be quick to point out that Jasper, along with Horace, was one of Cruella DeVille's bumbling henchmen on 101 Dalmations.I don't mind that, though, because Jasper always reminds me of the spotted rock.

Looove Casper. It's one of my favourites for sure. Right on par with Arthur and Ferdinand. I like both spellings pretty equally - maybe the C-version a bit more, just because it is more fun (and ghostly). It's recognizable but still different and cheerily quirky. I've never met a Casper in my life and if I did I would be ecstatic.I like Casper more than Jasper, just because it sounds friendlier, and because Jasper is getting a bit popular in some circles. Casper is fresher and more off the beaten path.

I think Casper is very cute, especially with the nn Cas. I like the spelling Caspar. I prefer C spellings. Jasper is also very cute. I prefer Jasper, because I've liked it longer. I would never use either names, though.
