I like this spelling, too. Actually, I don't like the Damian spelling because it looks too harsh to me. Not sure what the BF thinks about it, so I don't know how likely this would actually me used. BF's opinion aside, I wouldn't mind using it as a middle name.

I love it, too! I started thinking about it more because I love Damien Rice. I really dislike the spelling Damian because it makes me think of The Omen, but when it's spelled with an e that somehow goes away. It makes it so much nicer and gentler.

I like it, and my friend has a Damien boyfriend who is very positive indeed. But my DH finds it wimpy and flabby!

Some people seem to reject it for cinematic reasons: very silly.

It's good but ummmm have you seen either version of The Omen? Because the little kid is named Damien and he's actually the devil incarnate. Or the son of the devil. Or something like that. And I don't think that makes the name unusable- I really like it- but I do have to admit I LOLed when I saw it next to your posting name.
