It has been largely replaced by Michaela, which I think is a pity. I've always liked it, and since I've got two very good Michele friends, I prefer that version - lighter and more elegant. I don't see trashy or tacky exactly - for Michelle, that is - but most of the Michelles I've known have had trendy parents. Also buck teeth and a superior smile, but that no doubt is coincidence.

If I'd had an extra daughter, she would probably have been Lucy Michele Elizabeth; but I've never actually seen it as a mn as far as I recall.

I can't think of a Michelle under 30; the Micheles I know are older. So perhaps it's a tad early for a comeback as a fn.
