Emmeline
I'm really liking this name atm, but I have two questions:1. What is your preferred spelling of the name? Emeline, Emmaline or Emmeline?2. What is your overall opinion of the name? What images does the name conjure up?**** I ask because sometimes I get the impression that it's very childish and won't work on a grown up. Thoughts?!

1. What is your preferred spelling of the name? Emeline, Emmaline or Emmeline?Either Emmeline or Emeline. I'm not entirely sure which one out of those two.2. What is your overall opinion of the name? What images does the name conjure up?**I find it pretty, and not too childish for an adult. I could picture it working for either a child or adultIt reminds me of an even-tempered, kind person who lives in a quaint little house.

I'm most fond of Emeline, though I also love Emmeline. However, I strongly dislike Emmaline.

1. Only Emmeline.2. Actually, it brings to mind an adult, not a child.
I love the name.

Emmeline is my fave version of the name. I like it and think it will work well on a little girl and will sound equally as nice on an adult. No particular image comes to mind when I hear the name.

I like both Emmaline and Emmeline. I don't find it childish. I think of a character from the movie Anne of Avonlea (or I guess the book Anne of Windy Poplars). It's on my short list for girls.

1. Emmeline is the best spelling.2. I like the name better than Emma. That is for sure.
I do not see childish images if paired with either a good nn or a great middle name.

I love this name, but only if spelled Emmeline.Overall, I think the name is sweet and playful with a touch of elegance. It conjures up an image of a businesswoman for me. Don't worry about it being too childish.
