I can't imagine it on a person, but it's certainly interesting. :b I just think of the Astro Dome, though. :-

Astrophel is a very unusual name. I probably would never use it, but I think maybe for a pet, like a cat or a parrot._________________________________________________

I agree, I could never use it on a RL child; reminds me too much of "astroturf" or the Houston "Astro fell" before he could reach the endzone. That being said, there is a part of me that loves the way the syllables fall on my tongue. :o)"I can't say I was ever lost, but I was bewildered once for three days." -Daniel Boone, American explorer

Lol!The Houston Astros are a baseball team, so there is no endzone for them.:)

A great guilty pleasure name ... But I think it could work in real life too, though it'd be a gutsy choice. Before I clicked the hyperlink, I imagined it was feminine for some reason. I must've been confusing it with something else, but I do think it could work on either sex :-)_____________________________________________________________________Elinor'Why do people with closed minds, always open their mouths?'

And read the names of the sonnets! Astrophel and Stella! :-D I admit, I first thought of apostrophe. *embarrassed* But I rather like Astrophel! As a "never use on a person" name, mind you :)

I like it, but like you said, couldn't use it on a real baby!It makes me think of Astrophel and Stella, the sonnet sequence by Sir Philip Sidney, and geeky me loves literary references.:)
