I would prefer Rose to be short for a Rose- or Ros- name. And that might just solve your problems with fields of floral in-laws.
Or there's always the mn slot. It depends on your ln to some extent, but I do find the flow of Susannah Rose preferable to Rose Susannah. Diana Rose, too. Magdalen Rose.
