I will say it both ways depending on the person, but I prefer eh-LEE-ahs. I do think Elias and Silas are too similar for brothers.

I say eh-LIE-as, but my DH has an uncle with this name and the Syrian way to pronounce it is EEL-ee-as.

I pronounce Elias eh-LIE-as, but I've heard it pronounced eh-LEE-ahs as well. The only people I've encountered who have pronounced their name eh-LEE-ahs have been European though.
