Re: Alexandria

I like it. I think it's a lot better than Alexandra, Alexa, etc.
I also like it without a nickname (micknames make it blend in with similar names), although I would maybe shorten it to Andria or something for practicality. NOT Alex, Alexi, Lexi, Lexie, etc.
I like Ali. Lexie is too popular IMO, just like Alex, but if you want to use it it's perfectly possible. I know an Alexandra that goes by Ali. I prefer a different spelling, though, because the Ali spelling is too much like the boys name.
Fav nn is Andria.
I don't think it's too common.
Well, it could, but I think it would be able to keep separate if they went by a full name or a nickname that had nothing to do with other Alex names.
I seem to remember finding out that one Allie, Lexi, or something I know was really named Alexandria, and being excited, but I can't think of who at the moment. They go by a generic Al- / Alex- nickname, and never use their full name, so I'm not sure about name problems. teenage.
