Edith
I don't particularly like the 'ith' ending, but I have a soft spot for Judith. I now find myself warming to Edith and am considering adding it to my list. Opinions?

I love Edith! Especially with the nickname Edie.
Have never really liked it... could get used to it, but wouldn't inflict it on a child. Imediate image is old lady.
It's a pretty name.
It's reasonably popular in my area (or was, no babies being named that.)Which is surprising in a French-speaking place, as the "th" always runs on the rocks.Close to impossible for a French-speaker.

It will always be an old lady name to me, but I must say I like it much more than Judith. I'm the opposite of you. I don't mind the "ith" endings. It's the JOOD part of Judith that I hate.
I would very possibly have named my daughter Edith in 2006 if my husband hadn't said it "made too much of a statement" (I still don't really understand what he meant. He just has no clue). I would have mostly called her Edie, I think. I love Edie =)
I love the name Edith. Judith is nms, but Edith is great. I especially like the nn Edie.
Love it :-) It is one of my top girls names. My love for it came about mainly because I adore the nn Edie but it can't standalone IMO. Warming to Edith was a slow process but now I think it is so sweet and spunky. I actually like it as much as I love Edie now.
Judith and Edith are both pretty. I'd like to meet a little Edith.
I like Edith, but it is a bit old-fashioned so I wouldn't actually named my kid this
I adore it. Especially with the nn Edie.
