I prefer it too, because it reminds me of the character in Carmen. I find Michaela shabby and dated for a real person

I love it, especially this spelling.

I like the name and the spelling Micaela doesn't bother me at all. I do prefer Michaela, but Micaela is still nice.

I think it's pretty. I also like Micaela more than Michaela.

It's okay, though for some reason I'd be inclined to prn it mih-kai-ELL-uh.

I think it’s pretty but I have a feeling people would have trouble realizing how it’s pronounced. So many people are used to seeing the spelling Mikayla. Regardless, I prefer this spelling to Mikayla, and also Michaela. Michaela looks too much like Michael and I’m tempted to say it like Michael but with an added “a” on the end.

My favorite spelling is the Swedish one, Mikaela. But I have a cousin named Michaela. And I know a Micaéla too. And I agree with you, I prefer Micaela over Michaela.

i really thought this name was pretty in the 90's. I always though if I had a daughter I would love to call her this but it's really wore off of me. It doesn't have the same appeal anymore. It's still pretty and I don't hear alot of babies being called this. I've only known of 2 Michaelas
