Ephraim. I'm pronouncing it like eh-frum, is that wrong?How do you pronounce it and what is your opinion on Ephraim?

I guess I would write it as eef-rum. Something like that I think.

I prn it EH-frum too. I absolutely love it and think it's one of those old-fashioned biblical names that's due for a comeback. If Nehemiah and Malachi can make the top 1000, why can't Ephraim?

I've heard it before with that pronounciation. I think it sounds too outdated to be used as a first name, but could make an interesting middle name. It's definitely interesting and nice sounding.

I have only heard it with the eh-frum pronounciation, as that was the name of Dolly Levi's late husband in 'Hello Dolly!'.As for the name itself? It has an "old-timey" ring to it. I could imagine me using it as a middle name perhaps, but not quite for a first name.
