Noelle?
Do you think Noelle should only be used if the baby is born on Christmas or in December?Wdyt of the name overall?

I think Noelle is quietly pretty, and it can be used for a baby born at any time of year. My birthday is December 24th, and my parents gave me the middle name Holly because of it. I like Holly, and it's far better than the throwaway middle name (Lynn) that I would have been given if I had arrived on time in mid-December, but it has always struck me as overly precious that I'm a Christmas baby with a Christmassy name. I honestly think I'd like my name more if I had been born in March or August.

I prefer Noel for both sexes; Noelle just looks overdone, and I don't like the emphasis falling on the second syllable. I do associate it with December, but like Natalie it's appropriate for any birthday any time. And girls get named Holly all over the calendar.I wouldn't use it - it does seem to carry religious baggage - but it doesn't bug me.

I agree with CN. I don't associate the name with Christmas. In fact, I would think it was strange if the child was born at Christmas and named Noelle - that's too much.I like Noelle a lot.

Certainly not. I don't really associate the name with Christmas. It's just a name that happens to mean Christmas. Wdyt of the name overall?
I like it. I wouldn't use it myself but I'd be happy to see others use it.
