Ivy?
I'm liking the name Ivy again and I think I may like it so much I don't care if it's going to get popular but it is still a concern. What do you think of Ivy?Thanks!

I don't like names that start with an obvious I or Me (Ivy, Ida, Meegan). Egocentricity, built in. So that would make me squint thoughtfully at Ivy for a start; however, it is also probably the world's most annoying plant to get rid of, OK maybe bougainvillea is worse because it's thorny, so my associations with it aren't positive. And this spills over into my feelings about the name.

I've always loved Ivy. It's sassy and fun. Saying it out loud gives me goosebumps. It's just that kind of name. LOL.

I really, really like this name a lot. I do think it could get popular, but it's still a lovely name.

I would use it! And honestly, even if it starts getting popular, it seems too simple and non-corruptible to make it to the level of Madison, etc. Non-corruptible unless someone names their kid Aiyvee... (shudder)

I love the name Ivy. It's a little popular, but sweet, mature, and simple. There's only one problem: Poison ivy.

I think it's beautiful. It brings a pleasant, detailed image to my mind when I hear it. It would take me a whole paragraph to describe it and I don't have the energy right now. But it's good.

I am loving Ivy lately. I guess it's on the rise for popularity? That sucks but... I still love it!

It was ranked 320 last year. Still not too high I suppose.

Well in 2008 it was #298 so it's actually getting less popular! :)
