WDYT of Albert?
So, I've recently watched The Young Victoria and it's my new obsession! (For those interested, the link to the CAF I created because of it: http://www.behindthename.com/bb/view.php?id=3824410&board=game)
I've even found myself really liking the name Albert. So, I was wondering, what do you think about Albert? Is it too nerdy? Just not your style? Or, like me, are you unable to say it without a German accent?!

Love Albert, find it incredibly sweet. I adore Albie too. Have no clue what it would sound like in a German accent. I just say it my own accent.
I love love love Albert! Its a distant family name for me. I think its lovely and so handsome!
I LOVE it - it may be a bit nerdy, but that adds to it's charm. It' a very stately name, and the nn Albie is adorable.
However, I slightly prefer Alfred :)

I think it's a very handsome and regal sounding name. I wouldn't say I like it, but it's a nice name.
I like it only as a middle name
Love it.
It's my grandfather's name, and he is a wonderful man. Naturally, the name gives me warm and fuzzy feelings. :)
I also like it for Prince Albert, who was the love of Queen Victoria's life. Rarely do royals ever fall in love, but they fell hard.

Albert's too nerdy for me, though Alby would make a cute nn.
I like Albert. I think it's a handsome name.
That said, I do prefer the similar Alfred.

I am quite enamored with the nn Albie, so much so that it has caused me to quite like Albert. I used to find it kind of crusty and gawky but recently I have met two younger Alberts- one is about 22 and a confident, athletic and clever guy and the other is a little brother of my sister's friend and he'd be about 3 years old and is ridiculously adorable. I can now see it on someone younger than 80. I think the other thing that used to turn me off was the -bert until I realised that its not really that dissimilar from Robert which I find a perfectly acceptable and handsome name.
Anyway, the point is that I like it quite a lot and it is ready for some loving this decade, I think. Massive bonus points if it comes with the nn Albie ♥

I think Albert is adorable! The nicknames Albie and Bert are really cute as well. I think it's a nice name that could suit a little boy or a grown man.

Ok.I'm so sorry,,,but this has nothing to do with your post..But why did you chose Ravenclaw for your username on here instead of Gryffindor,Slitherin,or Hufflepuff. Please tell me.I'm sooo curious..
Because it's my favorite House; I think I'd belong in Ravenclaw. Simple as that.
The sound doesn't appeal to me much, but it's not ghastly or anything like that, just something I wouldn't use.
I have never been fond of it, and it is a family name. I strongly prefer Alban. Albert just doesn't have an appealing sound at all for me.
I used to think it didn't sound all that great, either!
I looove Albert. It's cute.
