It's a very pretty name, imo. I prefer it to Sylvia, it feels fresher.

I agree about Sylvie being stylish. Normally I would find Sylvie somewhat nicknamey, but I greatly prefer it to old-ladyish Sylvia.

I like Sylvie. I don't like the way it looks so I would probably go with Silvie. I know of one little girl with the name. It suits her well. I love Silvia!
