Lucy
Well, the baby everyone was so convinced would be a boy turned out to be a girl. My brother and SIL are over the moon; they had an ultrasound today which clearly showed no signs of a penis. They already decided on Lucy, and I wanted to know what you guys think. And no, she will not be Lucille, Lucinda, or Lucia, just Lucy.
Personally, I think it's very cute...but you can be honest with your opinion. I won't mind. :)

Lucy Ann is stinking adorable!

If I'd achieved another daughter, she'd very probably have been Lucy if I could have got it past her other relatives. And I'd have tried really hard! It's a perfectly acceptable name in its own right, and beautiful for all ages. Lucy Ann is wonderfully 50s retro!
I LOVE this name and always have. Unfortunately DH doesn't like it, so it won't be used on a future child of ours, unless I can swing it for the mn! All in all, Lucy is gorgeous!
I love Lucy! (pun intended) I would use it as a NN for Luciana, but I LOVE LUCY!
I like Lucy a lot. It's charming and old fashioned. It's getting quite popular here - I know two young Lucys.
There have been Lucys in my family for seven generations: my grandmother was Lucy, my aunt is Lucy, my niece and umpteen cousins are Lucys and it's one of my names, too. So I'm not at all biased when I say it's a fantastic choice for a name, and she's bound to be a great kid. :)
I love it and am considering using it myself - however, if I use it, it will be a nn for Lucille. Either way, it's gorgeous, lovely choice!
I used to like this name, but recently I was in a performance at my church for easter and the guy who played Lucifer, everyone called him Lucy... so now I'm kind of turned off by it.
I'm sure I'll call her Lucifer when she's acting like a brat. ;)
I like it
I like plain Lucy - it has the same appeal to me as Jane, June, or May. I know it's becoming more popular, which is slightly disappointing, but I really like the name. Every Lucy I've met has been great, so on top of the great sound/meaning, I have positive associations as well.

Really nice and sweet. I cannot imagine a mean Lucy. I'm excited to hear what they pick for a mn!
Its not a name I've ever really given much thought to, but I actually think its cute :D its a very girly name it sort of reminds me of summer?! very pretty and good call with just lucy, no added frills for no reason, keep it simple :) Congrats to your Bro and SIL.
