Imogen
What are your thoughts on Imogen? Do you think it's too trendy/are you tired of hearing it? Or is it still fresh? Which nickname do you prefer: Immy or Ginny?

It's totally wonderful, and very fresh and appealing where I live. Would a nn be necessary? If so, then Ginny or indeed Jenny.

Thanks for all the opinions!

I think Imogen is such a classy name and I like it a lot. Its not too trendy or tiresome...it is somewhat popular where I live (Australia) and I do know of quite a few Imogens but it isn't overused. I prefer Immy as a nn

I like Imogen a lot. It sounds like the kind of name a beautiful model would have. It doesn't strike me as trendy at all because I live in the US and never hear this name. As for nns...that's tough. I guess I prefer Immy but Ginny would also be cute.

I still really like it. I have only met one person with the name at all and it was only her middle name, so it still seems fresh to me. I suppose I like Ginny the best.

Love Imogen. Love Ginny. This is one of my top names, but I don't think my husband likes it.

It's okay. I like the unusual look of it and the Shakespeare association, but I once knew a very unpleasant Imogen who put me right off it. I'd say it was still quite fresh though: I'm in the UK where it is apparently no. 30 in the charts, and I've not seen or heard of a little one yet.

I love it (I'm a sucker for names from Shakespeare), and as far as I'm aware, it's still not very popular in the USA, which is great. It's on my shortlist of names I'd actually use - but I don't think I'd use a nickname, as none of the variants really appeal to me.

I've never met a baby Imogen so I would not say it is trendy nor am I tired of it - it's still a daring choice. I do prefer the slightly more "finished" Imogene. I know a lady named Imogen, she is so glamorous and beautiful, and her nn is "Imo", which i rather like, it's more grown up than Immy. Ginny would be a fun name though - I love that it is not an obvious choice. One would expect a Ginny to be Virginia!

I don't think it's too trendy, I only know one who is occassionally called Immy. Very rarely though.I think it has a trendy feel because of the 'im' sound close to Emma and Emily. It is pretty though.

I don't like it at all, but it certainly doesn't seem trendy. I don't believe it's been popular at all within the last one hundred years, so it's definitely fresh. Tired of hearing it? I've never known anyone with this name. I did know someone several years ago who named their baby Marilyn Imogen. But that was the middle name slot, the child isn't called Imogen.I guess I prefer Immy to Ginny.

I like Imogen, it's pretty. I don't think it's trendy at all, because of the Shakespeare reference, but it has risen in popularity but not too much. :)I prefer Immy because I pronounce it more like Imo-JEN rather than Imo-JIN.

I live in the US, so it isn't trendy to me. I think it's cute; I prefer Idgie for a NN.

I don't mind the name at all, though I wouldn't use it myself. It's not too trendy or popular here in Australia. I think I'd prefer Immy as a nn.

I think it's really sweet. It doesn't seem trendy to me because it hasn't caught on in the US yet. But it does still have a posh feel to me. Out of those two nicknames, I prefer Ginny. I think Idgie would be cute, too.
