Re: Lorna & Sonja

My godmother's name is Lorna and every other Lorna I've known has been a Filipina woman. I like it, but I don't think that I would ever name my daughter that.
Sonja is a name that I adore. I love it spelled with a "j" ... one of my best friends names is Sonja Teresa and she's one of the most beautiful people I know. The name has an exotic quality to it, in America anyway. People tend to pronounce it whichever way they please though. She pronounces it Sawn-ya ... but so many people pronounce it Sown-ya.
