What's wrong with Melia and Malaika?

The rest I don't like, however. But I do like Melia and Malaika a lot!

Some of those names would be fine, if the parents had properly spelled them. The quest to make a name exotic or original by adding syllables and letters comes off as tacky, imo. Its the kind of misguided quest for individuality that, rather than picking a real unsual name, just disregards spelling. The name's spelling then has to be explained to every person you meet for the rest of your life.

Worst offender here: Haidynlyn. An awful overuse of the letter y, and for some reason the name just fuzzes up before my eyes as an incoherent strain of letters.

As for the names that are real names, like Melia and Braelyn, they might not be my style, but I think they're not bad choices.

Yep, these are bad. But I rather like Melia.

I love Albion. Nyah, Melia, Malaika aren't that bad.

I also like Melia. Nyah is ok. The rest are prety bad, but Haidynlyn takes the tryndeigh cake. Ugh.

Melia is not that weird, I knew a Melia growing up and she was a really "normal" kind of person.

Sashya isn't bad, at least for a girl, and you're right, Melia is okay. Taleigha is an interesting one. I wonder if it is pronounced like Talia. The rest.... maybe there is a cultural or family thing? Poor children. At least if they all go to the same school or something there will be too many to be picked on for their names.

The only one I like is Melia. The rest are just plain awful. Poor kids.

Korah would have been okay had it been spelled Cora or Kora. It's too bad that Alaurah was spelled the way it was as well. Alora or Elora would have been much nicer. And Lilyahana? Yikes! Liliana is lovely, but Lilyahana looks like a jumble of letters to me.

Malaika doesn't bother me. I think that the meaning is pretty, but I don't know if I really like the sound of it all that much. Melia is okay too.
