Priscilla
Here are some general questions about Priscilla:
-If you had to give it a rating between 1-10, with 1 being "it sucks!" and 10 being "it's great!", what would the rating be?
-Which of these combos sound the best: Priscilla Jane, Priscilla Noelle, or Priscilla Fay?
-If you don't like any of the combos listed above, can you think of a better one?
-Any teasing potential?
-Is the name dated? If so, which age group does it remind you of?
-Would you ever use it yourself, if only as a middle name?
Thanks, guys!

8. I prefer Prisca, though.

Priscilla Jane.

Priscilla Margaret, Priscilla Rosamund, Priscilla Rosaline, Priscilla Violet, Priscilla Catherine. It's difficult for me to make a combo with Priscilla without making the name sound too serious.
-Any teasing potential?
Prissy, I guess. Perhaps one of the least offensive name-teasings out there, at least in my opinion.

I don't think it's dated. To be honest, I've only know one Priscilla in my life.
-Would you ever use it yourself, if only as a middle name?
God yes. In a heartbeat. As a first name or as a middle name.

Rating: 3
Combo: Priscilla Jane
Better: Priscilla Janet; Priscilla Maureen
Teasing: most kids won't know the word 'prissy', but they all know 'silly'.
Dated: 65 to 85
No. It's like a tattered, forgotten old garment smelling of mothballs.

1 or 2. I generally dislike the P sound.

Priscilla Noelle.

The film "The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert" is a fairly well-known comedy about drag queens. While I doubt most kids on the playground would know that, it could lead to problems when the girl is older.
-Is the name dated? If so, which age group does it remind you of?
It makes me think of 60-70 year olds. And drag queens.
-Would you ever use it yourself, if only as a middle name?
Nope.

ooh Priscilla Fay! I like Jane a lot too
hmmm I like those
tons of teasing potential
not dated but "cultured": super snobby or else super redneck
yeah if my partner loved it, it's a really neat name

10, I love it.
Priscilla Jane is lovely. I love how Priscilla Noelle sounds, but the double L in both annoy me. I like the combo Priscilla Iris, Iris makes the combo crisp and refreshing.
I don't know any teasing potential, I do know that some people find it ugly. My sister is Priscilla, and she never got teased. Her nickname was Cilla and Prissy. I do think it's slightly dated, but not sure for what generation...maybe for people born in the 40's and also for people born in the 80's.
If I didn't have a sister named this I would consider it for either the first or the middle name.

- Rating would be a 6
-Priscilla Jane
-Any teasing potential? Priscilla Queen of the Desert is my first association. I think (in Australia at least) there would be a lot of teasing because of the cross-dressing/transvestite association. Also the Prissy thing.
-Not really dated but it doesn't feel young or modern either
-I'd use it as a mn if my SO really wanted it, but never as a fn

I'd give it an 8 - it's pretty and unusual and I'd enjoy seeing a little one. All your combos are quite nice, but I think I like Priscilla Fay best.
I've never met a Priscilla so it doesn't seem terribly dated to me. If I had to guess the age of one I'd say 70-ish, but only because of Cilla Black (British 60s singer).
If it was in my family I probably would use it as a middle name.

I'd give Priscilla an 8. An 8 being "rootin' tootin'!"
Priscilla Jane is by far your best combination here. I can't think of a better one. Just lovely.
The only reason I gave Priscilla an 8 instead of a 10 is the teasing potential. Unfortunately, here in the juvenile U.S. a Priscilla would get called Prissy a lot, as in priggish.
But I still say it's worth using Priscilla, especially if you are not in the U.S.
There are so many other names I'd use before Priscilla, even as a mn. But I'd have no problem using it, if my dh really wanted it. It's rare to find a "P" name on a girl. I like that.
