Eileen
What do you think of the name Eileen? What about Eilie [IE-lee] for a nick name (I have a thing for palindromes)?

It's the best of the -een names by far, and Eilie improves it greatly. But I'm still not a fan.

It's dumb sounding and dated. I can't be a fan of the EEN ending. Same reason I find Katherine far superior to Kathleen.

Eileen is the only -een name I like. Eilie would be a cute nn.

Eileen is a pretty name and not too popular these days. I like Eilie as a nickname for it.

Eileen is pretty, and Eilie is an adorable nickname. I know a baby Ily, but obviously her parents spelled it differently.

I used to see Eileen as a sort of plain/blah name...but then I met someone named Eileen, and for some reason when I was actually using it, it became fresh and quirky (and pretty and friendly, as someone else pointed out)...and I do like the name Eilie, but mostly because it's name of a character in Break On Pluto, which is movie I love.

I think it's a nice name. I don't totally love it, but it's pretty, friendly, and kind. Eilie is okay, but I do enjoy that it's a palindrome.

Love itI've loved Eileen for years and wondered why it wasn't more popular. It has such a fresh, clean, bright feeling. Nn Eilie is terrific. Very spunky.
