Victoria - Vicky
Elisabeth/Elizabeth - Elise, Lizzy
Margaret - Peggy
Alexandra - I can't stand Alex. I think it's so overused as a nickname and it ruins both the male and female Alex- names. Lexie is kind of cute.
Katherine/Catherine - Cat or Cathy
Nathaniel - Nath
Alexander - Alec. I absolutely adore Alec and think it works great on its own.
In general I'm not fond of nicknames and names shouldn't be shortened just for the sake of it. I think all the names on your list are better without any nicknames.

I am not a fan of Alex either, I prefer Xander for a boy but for a girl, I'm not sure. Maybe Ally or Sandy.
