Brett?
Lately I have fallen in love with the name Brett. Maybe it is because I have a really good friend named Brett, and I wouldn't mind naming my child after him, what do you think of it, good or bad?Auntie to: Robert, Brady, Juliana & Sophia.

I think of "Brett, the Hitman, Hart", but maybe that's just because I live in Calgary because I'm definitely not a wrestling fan.
Very, very jockish name! Also seems to be very popular with the cowboy set.

I like it, but I'm a bit impartial because it's my brother's name. ;)

I don't much like Brett. It sounds incomplete to me, and I picture it on a 'jock'. Sorry :-(_____________________________________________________________________Elinor'Why do people with closed minds, always open their mouths?'

I think Brett is a wonderful name for a boy. I think it is a very classy sounding name and it sounds cute for a boy and grown up for a man. I have an uncle named Brett and a six year old cousin named Brett. Great name, I would use it especially it you have a good friend by the name.

Its nms but its not too bad. It sounds a little nicknamey.

I LOVE Brett! (But I was a huge Suede fan and associate it to the band's singer Brett Anderson).
Only like it on a boy though.

I like Brett! It's short and sweet, easy to pronounce, and not overly popular. Go for it!!!_________________________________________________

Brett is just okay imo. I much prefer Brent personally. But since in your case it'd be used to honor someone, that makes me like it a little more.Jennifer Nicole

I am pretty neutral on Brett, but only on a boy. I wouldn't like it on a girl. Similar names I would prefer: Brent and Rhett.

I really like the name Brett. The only thing is it seems a bit incomplete to me, but there really is no formal name it could be a NN for.Leslie, lucky mommy to Scott (2000), Delaney (2002), and Larissa (2005)

I like Brett, but I prefer it for a girl. On a boy, it only reminds me of nasty preppy boys. On a girl, it's snappy old ladies whose personalities I'd be more than willing to emulate when I grow old.Array

I actually really like Brett, its short, to the point, and I like how it won't be shortened. I also remember that episode of the tv show Full House and that "Brett-Brett Brett-Brett" scene, so its cute in a nostalgic way for me too.
