Dora
I fell in love with the name Dora. What do you think? Too dated? Comeback?

I like it as a nickname. It's sweet & nostalgic. I don't know how I feel about it as a full fn. I think it could stand alone, but you'd have to love it a lot to do that & I personally don't. I'd probably use it as a dog name before I'd seriously consider it for a child.I do think of Dora the Explorer, but that isn't a deterrent to me. There was a show when I was younger called Allegra's Window & I'd still love to meet a little Allegra so I don't think the children's tv shows thing should put you off too much.

It's not the worst; not at all; but it rather lacks zing to my ears.My mother knew a Deborah who went by Dora. I didn't think she'd gained any advantage!

Dumb image. Because "Dumb Dora" used to be a common saying, and because of ditzy Dora in "David Copperfield".

Not too dated. Comeback. Dora the Explorer pretty much proves the point, IMO. It's okay with me. I'd like it better as a short form for Eudora. Dorie or Dory is a good nick too. =)

I love it!I think Dora is really adorable! Of course she might have trouble with Dora the Expoler but I still like it. It makes a great nickname for Pandora or Theodora also.

I love it. It's not that common here, but it has been having a bit of a revival in the past decade.
