Lavender?
I was just watching Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince and I thought Lavender Brown was so funny! I have liked the name Lavender for a while and I was wondering if Lavender is usable? I kind of like the name Lavender Erica Catherine. I think it's too long though.
So what do you think?

I don't find Lavender all that usable. It sounds like the kind of name a Mary Sue would have in a fanfic.
I love the name Lavender! I think it is usable and is really pretty. Also the nickname 'Vandi' (or Vendi).
I like Lavender, but I would hesitate to use it in real life because she might not be taken seriously and there aren't really any good nick names I can think of.
I don't like the Harry Potter association with the name Lavender, but I love the name otherwise. Maybe because I like purple so much; I don't know. xD
It's in my posting name, so you can tell I like it.

It's okay. It's not my favorite. I think it's better for a middle name.
I'm certain it's usable in some circles. I sure would not want to be named Lavender, though. It sounds sort of sensual to me. Maybe because it unconsciously reminds me of the word "lavish."

I like Lavender and I think it's usable, but personally, I worry that it is too cute to be taken seriously? Maybe that's a concern only I have since I want my future daughter to have a strong name.
I love Lavender and I definitely think it's usable.
(I wouldn't use it with a last name that was also a flower/nature name or color name, though, like in Harry Potter.)
