Trite. The plant has such a pale, drooping, funereal image that I find Lily actually inappropriate on a lively, spunky person. Same with Violet and Ivy.

I love Lily, so pretty. Very common though.

Well, I know about four Lily's, so I'm not that suprised. Lily is a common, and in my opinion, pretty name.

It's a lovely name, though very popular. That said, I'd still think about using it in real life!

It's a very pretty, delicate name. It makes me think of the color white.

It's a nice name. As you already know it's over used. It's better for a middle name or in book it shouldn't be a main characters.

In all honestly, I've grown to hate it. I find it frilly and insubstantial. It's so popular now, I'm sick of it.

I like Lily, I think it is sweet. I don't know any little Lily's, despite it being massively popular apparently. I prefer Lily as just Lily, not short for Lillian or anything like that. I also like the spelling Lillie, it seems very light and fresh.
