Polly or Poppy?
Which do you prefer?
Would you say they are of the same or different naming style?
Combos?
Thanks!!

I think PollyI like Poppy too, but Polly is much fresher and more unexpected in today's name culture, so I'm liking that more. They are kind of in the same category of "quirky", but Polly is, obviously, much more vintage. I like Polly Scarlett myself, which it a weird combo for me, but it just came into my head one day and now I can't get rid of it. (also one time I typo'd Poppy as Poopy and since then I can't help thinking "poopy" whenever I see it, I ruined it for myself. Poppy is also my default dog name for if I get a dog and keep calling it "puppy" for lack of ideas. Poopy Poppy would be really fitting in that situation I think).

I love Polly. It's my newest guilty pleasure. I think they are similar in naming styles.

PollyWhen I see Poppy I sometimes have to double-take to not read it "poopy." It's not a huge deal but I don't enjoy that about it!I think they are a similar naming style though not quite the same. If you were comparing Poppy and Molly I would say the same as they both strike me as being that trendy, almost quaint, 'old fashioned if it wasn't so in style' feel. Because Polly is less common, at least to my experience, I would consider it to be (in a good way!) a quaint and charming sort of choice that seems more thoughtful than the trendier Poppy.

PoppyI just love flower names. I think they are different styles. Poppy is hippy and stylish. Polly is sweet and old-fashioned and nicknamey.

Poppy. I think they are of a similar naming style, though not entirely the same. Poppy Claire immediately springs to mind.

PollyI think they're pretty similar. They both have a cutesy-modern feel. Except that Polly, unlike Poppy, also has a more plain and classic side.

PollyBoth are a but insubstantial for my taste, but I can't stand Poppy. Poppy is just so childish. At least I can imagine Polly on an adult.
