I like Calix and Cal as a nn.

Except for the fact that the meaning of Calix suggests a symbolically feminine object (a goblet). That actually puts me off it as a male name. Maybe I'm just weird about that stuff. But same goes for Haven on males. It's just wrong to me. Or Pilar for a woman. I love the sound of the name, but ... not for my daughter!

I don't like the sound of Felix very much. Feel licks. It squicks me out. But it's a fine name, I guess.

I like Felix. I like Calix, but it comes across as feminine to me. I think it reminds me of Callista, but whatever the reason, it just doesn't feel like a male name to me. I like them both, but I don't love either of them.

Felix is gonna be sooooo popular. It's a punch-packin' name. I love it, I want to name a kid it.

Calix is neat too. The cornball in me just got delighted at the thought of twins/brothers named Felix and Calix. I like the meaning of Calix too.

I love the name Felix and have for years. As for Calix, well I'm not so fond of that name tbh.

Felix is a great name (my #2) but I don't like Calix at all.

Calix looks like a mix of Caleb and Felix, it's not bad, not my style though....

Felix is my current favorite for a boy, though lately Jasper has been an apt rival and does eclipse it for me on occasion.

I find Calix to be too fanciful and unestablished for my liking. It reminds me of Calico.
