Amelia?
I used to like it a lot a few years back but then Dh said he didn't like it and I stopped liking it. It's grown on me again. What do you think of the name? Thanks :)

Sweet! I love the name (my favourite combo is Amelia Poppy). Amalia is also a good choice as is the French Amelie. I suppose you can say I'm in love with Amelia no matter what form it takes! Lol.____

I think that this name has great connotations, i.e. Amelia Earhart, however I am not a fan of the name itself. I think that, like Abigail, it's a bit dowdy, though dowdy is very 'in' now.

I absolutely love the name Amelia! It is one that will fit a person from the day she is born to the day she dies. A name that will surely stand the test of time.

I thought I liked it until I read the meaning from Amalia: To work.

I don't like the way Amelia sounds. It just doesn't flow off my tongue well. That's the only complaint I have about it.

Amelia is lovely, what is there not to like? Soft and feminine and many nn options too (Amy, Mia, Mellie, Lia, Mia, Mimi).I also like Amalia and Emilia."You sought a flower and found a fruit. You sought a spring and found a sea. You sought a woman and found a soul. You are disappointed."

My friend is a medical student and she told me that amelia is a condtion where a baby is born with no arms, or something like that (maybe someone with medical knowledge can clarify...?) So that kinda ruins the name for me!

The truth is, I have met the right person, only he's not in love with me, and until I stop loving him no-one else stands a chance
