Gwendolyn for three reasons1. The y looks soft and feminine
2. If you don't like the nn Gwen or Wendy you have the option of Lyn and Lyn spelled Len is just wierd and easy to misspell
3. I used to know a girl named Gwendolyn spelled like this as a child and learned to spell it that way.

Gwendolen, because -yn is masculine in Welsh.

It looks so much softer; plus after seeing Jackielyn a few days ago I'm just so turned off by the letter "y".

Gwendolen definitely, though I don't like either of them much. But if you use a somewhat Welsh name for a girl, at least make it look female.

Gwendolyn, it definitely looks the best imo. Looks far nicer to me with the 'lyn' ending.

I like both spellings pretty much equally. It depends on what the name is paired with. If it's between something like Gwendolyn Mary and Gwendolen Mary, then Gwendolen Mary wins because Gwendolyn Mary is a bit too heavy on the Y's.

Gwendolen. There's just too many -lyns out there already.

GwendolynIt just looks more natural to me than Gwendolen, especially since I have a tendency to accentuate my vowels...Gwendolen sounds different and uglier to me than Gwendolyn, which even looks more phonetically Welsh to me...now I don't know which spelling is more legit, but that's just my POV.

Gwendolyn.I think Gwendolen has too many 'e's for me. I don't know why really but Gwendolyn just appeals to me more.

Ignore, sorry

I did some amateur research on the net and discovered that traditionally in Welsh female names ended in "-en" where as male names ended in "-yn."Plus, Gwendolen makes me think "golden."

Gwendolen. I think it looks better. Maybe that's because I'm getting sick of all the creatively spelled names that always seem to have too many y's.

By far, I prefer Gwendolen. I think it has a much prettier look and a much nicer feel/vibe/air to it...Gwendolyn feels almost dumpy to me, whereas Gwendolen has an ethereal quality to it. However, it's not too light, it does have substance and strength to it as well.

Gwendolen, as yn is a masculine ending in Welsh and en is feminine.

GwendolenGwendolyn isn't too bad, but I have an aversion to y's at times, and yn is a Welsh masculine ending.

GwendolenIt looks a lot more classy and timeless while the y looks a little trendy.

I prefer Gwendolyn just because that is what I am used to.

Gwendolen.
Gwendolyn looks trendy.

Gwendolen. I just don't like "y" anywhere except the begining and end of names with the exception of Lydia.

I prefer Gwendolen. The "y" just doesn't work with this name imo. Something about it looks out of place.

I agree.
