Cosmo

It's a little too 'out there' for me, even though I like other -o names, like Milo, Otto, Leo, etc. I think of the cosmos so it makes me think "spacy" (air-headed, ditzy). And because I'm in the U.S., I think of Cosmo Kramer, the crazy neighbor on a sitcom called "Seinfeld". :b However, one of the characters on the show "ER" (also in the U.S.), Susan, has a young son named Cosmo. That normalized a little bit for me. :b

I like it, but it wouldn't be the easiest name to live with. I've always thought Cosima was a gorgeous name for a girl.
I think it sounds really nice, but I've got a bad association with it, as a teenage 'ned' at in my old town that my dad had to give evidence against once. It's the craziest name for that kind of person, but it's what the name makes me think of now.

I think it's got some definite pizazz--Cosmo is short and fun to say. Unfortunately, I associate it with so many not-so-positive (not necessarily negative) things that I'd never use it myself.
Firstly, there's Cosmopolitan Magazine, better known as Cosmo. It's the women's version of Maxim--silly, semi-smutty fun, with articles like "50 Ways to Leave Him Screaming for More."
Then, there's Cosmo Kramer, the nut on Seinfeld; I like him (and can relate to him a LOT, hehe), and so this one doesn't bother me at all.
Finally, there's Cosmo of one of my least favourite shows ever, The Fairly Odd Parents. He's the "amusingly" stupid one and annoys the pants off me. This, actually, is the association that bothers me most. I want to scream when my little sister puts the show on.
Because of Cosmo 'n' Wanda of The Fairly Odd Parents, I'd be extremely wary about using the name in the US. However, you're in Scotland, and perhaps you're safe from the idiocy of that show. If so, I'd give it the thumbs-up. Cosmo Reuben sounds very nice to me, too--I do love Reuben. :D

Not a favorite of mine. It reminds me of the green-haired fairy on "Fairly Odd-Parents" (cartoon you may not have heard of) and the stupid comedy "Seinfeld" (another tv show you might not have heard of).

I adore this name, sounds very regal especially with the middle name of Damian!
The name has a nice sound, very different.
Still.. it reminds me of the magazine Cosmopolitan, which is not a very nice connotation for a boy's name in my opinion..
Reuben I love!
