I think it works for you. Just tell you father that Julian was masculine long before there was a feminine form of it. I truthfully love the name because of all of the reasons you stated and because it gives a leadership atmosphere.Julian doesn't work for me because of Julian Lennon. My best friend would poke at me forever about it being the Beatles/John Lennon fan that she is.The name does bring up the nn Jude which was used to replace Jules in Hey Jude because Jules was much harder to sing.
