Gladys to me just conjures the image of a great-aunt who everyone is scared of because she just won't die and still can beat you down. I've also heard kids in my class try and pronounce it Glad-ees instead of Glad-iss.
Wanda is not too bad, but again, image of an old southern woman who people are scared of.
Gwendolen is ok. I'd never use it, but it's the most feminine and girly name on this list.
