Leo
WDYT of Leo? Do you think it can stand alone? What is your favourite full name for it - Leonardo, Leonard, Leonidis or another one?Combo suggestions would be great too :-)

I love the name Leo a lot actually. I love the fact that it's short and spunky and means lion. I definitely think the name can stand alone and that's personally how I prefer it, but I do also like it as a nn for Leopold.

i like Leo but a bad assoiation with it has made it the name of a whiny kid. I like Leonidas the best I think...

Leo is perfectly fine as a full name, and has been used so for quite a while (several Popes have borne this name). No need to use it as a nick name.Leo Alexander

I love it and definitely prefer it standing alone. I don't really like other versions. If I ever have a son I would love to name him Leo Alexander.

I really hate it. And it seems like I'm the only one that does. I love Leonard and Leon, but just Leo is... ugh.

You're not alone, I don't like it either. And I also don't mind Leonard and Leon.

I adore Leo. In fact, it's the only male name that I truly love. Leonardo is nice too, just nms. Leonard is nmsaa. Leonidas is pretty cool, actually; I just prefer Leo which is a full name in and of itself. It's merely an element that combines with another in the other forms (Leonardo, Leonard) and changes the meaning slightly.Combos:Leo Alexander

It can certainly stand alone and probably should: I like Leo much better than the longer versions.

I really like it, and think it can stand alone, though I prefer it as a nn. I'm considering Leonardo nn Leo for a future child.

Leo can definitely stand alone. It is a name in its own right. My favorite fuller form is Leonidas.I am not overly crazy about it. I'm from the generation that will always think of it as an old man's name. I know that I'm behind the times.
