Ira and Seymour
Last night I was watching a documentary when Ira Glass came on (host of This American Life) and I suddenly decided that Ira is a really, really cool name. I've never liked it before, but now I just adore it. Ira Leonard is combo right now. Then I thought about Seymour, another name that I've never really cared for. Now I'm also really digging it. J.D Salinger used the name for a character (one of the members of the Glass family), although said character committed suicide. I still think it's pretty cool.Opinions? Wdyt of siblings Ira and Sylvia?

I really like Ira, but I find it hard to take Seymour seriously. I think it would be great for a pet though.Ira and Sylvia sound great together.

Ira sounds like the kind of name a kid born today could live with. It's rather intellectual. I like it.Seymour reminds me too much of Sidney. Both are old man names.Ira and Sylvia don't go well together because both are so old-fashioned. If I heard Ira and Sylvia together I'd think of an old married couple, not a sibset.

I would like Ira but it reminds me too much of the I.R.AI dislike Seymour. Sylvia is nice though, but I prefer Sylvie / Silvie.

Ira is indeed cool. Nice sharp little name. Ira and Sylvia would be great to come across on a pair of sibs.
Seymour is actually an ancestral name in my family, as a first name. I like it, but can't help thinking of the Simpsons Seymour and Steve Buscemi's character in Ghost World.

I have recently warmed up to Ira, I think because I've heard the name much more frequently because of increased exposure to NPR. Recently I've decided that Ian and Ira would make the best same-sex, same-letter twin set I can think of. Ira and Sylvia makes a nice sibset.I'm not fond of Seymour though, sorry. All I can think of is the character from Little Shop of Horrors.

Ira and Sylvia are soooo nice together. So crystalline. Seymour is pretty nifty. It has a certain something.

Ira and Sylvia sound like an old jewish couple who are sitting on a stoop in Brooklyn...... GREAT!

I've always been really attracted to Ira. I've never really sat and thought about it much, but whenever I see it it makes me happy. It's so smooth and handsome. I also like the association with Ira Gershwin.Seymour, on the other hand, I'm not a huge fan of. It sounds whiny to me and all I can think about is the Simpson's character.Ira and Sylvia is soooooo adorable!
