Ancient Greek names for the goddess were:
Ἀθηνᾶ, Athēnâ or Ἀθήνη, Athénē; Doric: Ἀσάνα, Asána
The city is called Αθήνα (Athína) in modern Greek (since 1970s). The Greek girls I've met with this name have the form Athina.
(If there are any Greek speakers here, please correct me if I'm wrong:-))
