I still love Simon even though it is my ex's middle name. He once told me he sort of wished it was his first name because it is far less common. I really feel the same way about it, minus the British thing, haha. I once met a Finnish guy named Simon who fit the rest of your description.

I've always found Simon unattractive, probably because it starts with a Sigh. I know a couple of pleasant, intelligent Simons but nothing helps.

I know umpteen Simons and they range from short, sharp, ginger and football-loving (my funny cousin) to tall, dark, prettily Byronic and slightly dim (pal from art college, so gorgeous and so very clueless!). I used to think it was pretty boring, but it's really grown on me lately, too, and I think I'd use it. It's a friendly sort of name. I'm always surprised it's not used much across the pond, being biblical and all.

Very handsome ... love it. Simon Oliver and Hugh is quite nice, too.

I like the name, especially because of the Lord of the Flies character. I like the combo Simon Hugh, and Simon Hugo would be good, too.

I have a friend that had a baby in June, and named him Simon James. Siblings are Grace, Emma, Jack, and Ethan.
