*Kinley - girl
*Carter - guy
*Sam - girl, while I like Sam better on a guy I knew a lot of Samanthas at my school.
*Alex - guy, again like it better on the opposite sex but it is just from people I personally know.
*Cory - girl, I know a girl named Kori.
*Hayden - boy
*Chris - boy, but with a K, Kris I think of girl personal experience.

*Kinley neither, just a surname, and too close to Kinsey as in the Kinsey report
*Carter male, 100%
*Sam better on a boy, ok as a nn for Samantha
*Alex fine on both, better as a nn
*Cory male but with a "girly" feel
*Hayden male
*Chris
both as a nn for names starting with "Chris"

All male.

I'd assume they were male first. Alex and Sam could go either way, but the rest seem distinctly male to me.

Aside from Kinley, I automatically think "guy" for all of them for the most part. Kinley seems like it could go either way, but American parents would probably be more apt to use Kinley for a girl considering it's similarity to popular names for girls like Kimberly.I have heard Sam and Alex used as nicknames for Samantha and Alexandra, Alexa, Alexis, etc., so I can imagine them as unisex. "Boy" comes to mind first though.
