I recently met a five year old boy named Sylas. It wasn't short for Sylvanus: it was his actual name. This is not as bad as some of the kreatevye spellings I've seen, but why not just good old Silas?What are your opinions on this spelling?

Ruining a perfectly fine and handsome name imo! Silas is just fine the way it is.

Sylas doesn't really bother me all that much, but I prefer Silas.

I adore Silas and it breaks me heart to see the Sylas spelling. Ouch.

I strongly prefer Silas. I am not a fan of spelling names wrong.

I 100% agree with you. Why Sylas -- why not just Silas? But it's not that bad.
