Raia
I came up with this spelling myself (although I'm sure it's been thought of before), a variation of Rhea. This spelling influences the pronunciation that I use (ray-AH). I also dislike the spelling Rhea, because as mentioned before, it is the end of diarrhea...WDYT? Usually I detest "made-up" names but I really enjoy this variation.I also thought Laia and Raia would be a cute twin set.I'm also a big fan of the name Ariadne, and thought the nn Aria is close to this as well...Just brainstorming lol

Raia is a pretty name. I like Raya as well.Laia and Raia are too close for sisters. As for Ariadne, I think it's a gorgeous name.

I like Raia, but I pronounce it RYE-uh.
Ariadne "Aria" is perfect.

I don't like Rhea, because of the way it sounds. I prefer the sound of Raia, but I don't like the way it looks as much - partly because it isn't a "real" name.I like Ariadne too, and the nickname Aria. I think Aria is nicer than Raia.

I know someone named Raija (she's finnish). I like Raija, Raia, Raja and Raya. Laia and Raia wouldn't be cute. They are too close.

Hmm, Raia makes me think of Raya rather than Rhea. It's all right, but makes me think of "rayon".I find twinsets like Raia and Laia apalling, it's like implying that twins aren't distinc human beings. Ariadne is pretty.

I like it but I pronounce it RAH-ya. It's my favorite spelling also so you didn't come up with it ;) Rhea I pronounce REE-ah or REH-ah. Raya I pronounce RAY-ah. If you want to go with RAY-ah I'd spell it Raya it would make things easier.I don't think it's made up, just a spelling variant. I like Laia but it's too close to Raia. I also like Leia.I like Ariadne. Aria is pretty close to Raia, though so I'd only use the full name. Prefer Ariana, though.

I was realizing this later - that Raia would more appropriately be pronounced RAH-ya - similar to Gaia.My only problem with Raya is I have a beef with y's and try to avoid them at all costs in names. To me they just scream trend.Perhaps Reia would be closer to what I'm aiming for?At one time I liked Ariana, but in the past year alone I've met 6 little ones given this name. Not to mention I have a few second cousins on both sides with this name, it's gotten to the point where it's kind of sickeningly cutesy now. It seems almost like a filler first name of this generation. Then I was introduced to Ariadne on the history channel and fell in love with the name and history haha. Thanks a lot for your input it really helped!

I like Reia! I had it on my 'character' list as a variant of Leia. That would be a very good spelling to use IMO.

I'd pronounce Raia as RY-ah (like Maia/Maya). I pronounce Rhea like RAY, but wouldn't be surprised if someone corrected me. Laia and Raia are too close for siblings, let alone twins.
